Not much to show here yet, but I have one Luftle sort of ready. Basecoated, anyways. ;D My Floris and Hydris just arrived yesterday, so hopefully they'll be up here soon!

How cool! Great to see you posting a log up here mate. Glad to hear the Floris and Hydris arrived too. A very unique paint scheme - one I didn't expect, but it looks really cool! The black, orange and white work well together and create a very striking scheme. Can't wait to see how this log progresses! Awesome work.

Not much of a post as I don't have any new, shiny pictures, but things have been progressing. Got five luftles fully basecoated, and the full tribe of Paulidis too. Now if I could just get my camera to cooperate...

Good work Maccioniath! Rome wasn't built in a day - same as an Occulite tribe wasn't painted in one. Take your time and enjoy it!

Neat color scheme for the luftles - I'm psyched to see what you'll come up with for the remaining tribes!

I have a scheme sorted for the Hydris but I'm still struggling to come up with one for the Floris, though, and how to go about inking and highlighting the others. Probably finish basecoating the other Luftles before I proceed any further with the bigger guys. A nagging eye injury is slowing me down. Anybody use one of those binocular visor thingies?

They are a colourful lot! Nice work. I really like the peacock patterning on the Palaudis backs. What size bases did you end up using for the Palaudis? Great opportunity for some little mini dioramas. Great stuff! Thanks for sharing.

Thanks Ben! The bases are giant honking flat washers. The only measurement I could find on the bix says 5/8. They're about 50mm across. I paint more than I game, so the huge bases shouldn't be an overwhelming concern. Just to be safe though I am going to put all my 'big' guys on the same washers.

Seriously, seriously pissed. Got all 5 Hydris done through basecoats this weekend, and got a very decent headstart on the Floris too. But while I was driving home from work, my painting tote tipped over somehow. 150+ Vallejo bottles rattling and rolling around the backseat and, much worse, all my occulites playing bumper cars with their ridiculously huge washer bases. Going to take hours to fix all the chips and scratches.. my own darn fault but still irritating. And I need to reorganize my paints again. Somehow, that seems worse. Anyway, before all the destruction, I took this crappy shot of my test Hydris.

Sorry to hear about the spill - good luck on the sorting and repairs.
Love the bright colours and the peacock 'swirls' is an inspired touch. Wonder if they make as much noise as the originals?
Still trying to clear the table of part completed bits - got the 15mm ruins out of the way now the 6mm figures are the only things remaining then the undercoat comes out!

Ha, love the peacock coloration on your palaudis tribe! That hydris occulite looks very menacing, the colors remind me of an orca.

The Penguin/Orca scheme is cool for the Hydris. Sorry to hear about the mishap in the car - that would be both annoying and frustrating. I hope it doesn't take you too long to fix up.

Not much of an update, sadly. Fixed and finished basecoats on my Hydris and Floris but this was the only even remotely passable picture. Will try and finish them all and base them soon.
