G'day guys and welcome to the Darwin Games forums! Please make yourself at home and start posting by introducing yourself or asking a question. Or maybe you'd like to discuss what colours you will go with for your Occulite tribe? The forum as you can tell is brand new, so is a bit bare, but I'm sure it will fill up quickly. It would be great to develop a nice community here, so please always be respectful of others and don't post anything you wouldn't say to someone's face. If you're interested in finding out more about Rise of the Occulites, you can check out the blog here www.riseoftheocculites.wordpress.com or just ask! I'll start the introductions. ;D My name is Ben and I have been working on Rise of the Occulites for the last few years. I was recently able to start Darwin Games and would love you to come along for the journey! My current favourite tribe is the Palaudis. Cheers, Ben.

Hello.

Very best to you Ben. Bix

Hi there, I'm Kelly from the deserts of southern New Mexico (USA). Looking very much forward to getting ahold of Rise of the Occulites... the minis look quite fun to paint, though I haven't decided what colours to go with yet.

Hi All!
The name is Charlie and I hail from steamy Northern Virginia where I suspect Occulites would flourish. I am eagerly waiting for the release of the figs (the Luftles are my favorite then Palaudis) and have been contemplating flora colors for them. Keep it up!

Hi friends!
I'm Tom from Berkeley, California. I found out about the Occulites from the Zombiesmith games forums, and absolutely love them!
I'm really excited for "Dawn," and can't wait to get my hands on a few minis.
It's tough to pick a favorite tribe - I think from the minis we've seen so far Floris are probably my favorite in terms of looks, although I'm intrigued by the other three tribes which I hadn't even heard of until I saw the banner at the top of this forum. A swarm of Luftles does sound like fun, too, though...
Anyways, looking forward to this setting very much!
EDIT: forgot to mention my color scheme ideas! From what I've seen so far I think I'll start off with Floris, and I'm thinking a basic dark brown for the body with bright green limbs. I think I want the lips to be pretty bright, too, although I'm not sure exactly what color to go with. For the petals around the eyestalk, I think I'll have them red around the edges and fade to orange towards the center, and then an eyestalk that fades from orange to yellow. That's kind of my plan for now, anyways.

Its great to see you all over here - Bix, Kelly, Charlie and Tom - thanks for posting guys! Charlie, I agree - North Virginia would be perfect for Occulites. We'll have to make sure we get some over there soon Tom, what a cool idea for the paint scheme of the Floris tribe - I really look forward to seeing how cool that will look. Its not something that I had ever considered, but now you have the cogs in my head turning! The Floris would be one of the tribes to have the most variance in their patterning, living in the jungles and forests, they could go either the camouflage route or the 'warning I'm poisonous' route with ease. Cheers, Ben.

Hi everybody! I'm Michael and I'm from Clarksville, Tennessee. I have been following the development of the Occulites with much enthusiasm. The Hydris is my favorite tribe and I can't wait to see the greens and castings when they are done and I'll probably use subdued bluish to grey tones on them. We'll have to see. My wife like the Floris tribe so I can already see the battle lines being drawn! Hope everyone is well and glad to see the forums up and running! Great job Ben and fast also. ;D

Hey,
I'm jack from the uk, and I saw minis for the hydris tribe on beasts of war. Now I'm selling a kidney to buy millions of them. Cool eh?
I'm big into wargaming when I'm not in college.

There are some things happening in the background here which have prevented me from getting them released at the moment. This is not bad news for Rise of the Occulites however (in fact its potentially very good news), so stay tuned and I will update you all when I have some more information.
