G'day guys, Thought I'd give you a little preview of the website layout if you were interested. Its coming along well now (I have great respect for website designers now - it wasn't very intuitive for me to do, but I'm getting the hang of it!) The reeds at the top are rollover buttons and something will pop out of them. You can see the Luftle peeking out from between the reeds on the About Us button. Note this is still in development (I need to add a link to the Blog and Forum still too), but if you have any suggestions or comments, please feel free! Cheers, Ben.

Looks good. Only comment would be to make the white in your logo transparent so it blends better with the site. Good work Ben, you have been busy!

Looks pretty good! I'm kind of partial to the white background on the logo, personally, although it might look good with a border around it, even just something simple like a solid black border.

Thanks guys.
Matt, I did try making the logo transparent, but it ended up looking lost in amongst the brown, so I left the stark white, which I think makes the logo pop a bit (at the expense of it not blending as well.
I have increased the size of the green photo thumbs in the NEWS section. Most of the site is done - just need to finish the Store now... the hardest part!

Just a quick question, in the store would you prefer painted examples of the miniatures, bare metal or greens?

Well, since you're having someone paint them up for book pics and turn videos, you might as well use them for the store pics also. It really gives them life and also tickles the imagination of the viewer in that they may want to change a color or two or they might have had questions on how a certain scheme would look and having them painted would probably help out with that. Plus seeing them in living color really makes them pop. I loved seeing the painted ones you just posted. For those not in the know for some reason, here's the link for the pics!: riseoftheocculites.wordpress.com/2011/07/30/painted-palaudis-and-luftles/Cheers!

Thanks for providing the link there Michael - the photos were also uploaded into the New and Upcoming Releases section of this forum first before being uploaded on the blog (something I will try and continue to help encourage the use of and discussion on the forum)
Thanks for the thoughts mate - makes sense. Cheers, Ben.

DOH! I didn't realize they were added to the first post! Oh well, they are sweet! Got the word out about the Occulites on Google+ and some of the other forums and boards I go to. Hope it helps. ;D

I second Michael - painted minis for the store would probably look best. It gives folks an idea of what the final product can look like once they've painted theirs up, gives them ideas if they're having trouble deciding how to paint them, and overall just has a more "complete" feel.
Bare metal usually looks fine, too, in my opinion anyways, but I wouldn't put up the greens. Whenever I see a webstore with greens instead of the metal castings or painted minis in feels very unfinished.

Thanks Michael, I appreciate you spreading the word mate. Thanks to all of you on your suggestions for the website. I have replaced the photos of the greens with the painted photos and have made some headway with the site as a whole. Still a bit to go, but getting there. The Games page will have links to all the games (current and announced, but not released - but not the ones not announced yet). Each game page will have information on that particular game, with some pictures/photos and a link to the forum page for that game. Will keep you all up to date as the time draws nearer. Cheers, Ben.

aye, bare metal or painted. not greens, on the webstore itself. greens are great to show on the blog, in here, and perhaps in a 'news' section of the store however, to keep interest up. and feel free to put the games not announced on the website too. >>grins<<
